This Tuesday and Thursday were good, I started doing online quizzes that ask a variety of questions that I have to answer. Now I'm reviewing notes that I have taken during class and today I will be reading chapter 6 and take more notes to gain more knowledge before I start my class work and feel comfortable with what I learned. I started getting help where I live, they have a tutoring program that allows me to talk to someone one on one to get a better understanding of what I'm working on. My internship is really fun; we are having custom made sweatshirts with our group name on it. Today I'm getting paid at the internship and I'm happy because its my first payment out of this whole time I worked there. I'm thankful that Pathways is helping with my books and everything.

My Financial Business class this week went well, we are practicing from what we learned last week, and we're continuing reading chapters 3 and 4 to prepare. In class the teacher has us sitting in group to make a business name and start creating our own transactions. Today I'm going to read chapter 5 and prepare to answer questions next week. The internship last Friday was really fun, we went on a trip in a ferry to the city and went to the Exploratorium for the day, later we went to eat burgers at Gotts which were really good and came back home.

This week of Financial Business was good. The class was taught that small business most of the time only accept cash. Accepting cash only allows you to get paid in full and not have to wait in periods of time. Cash is the simplest way of payment and it involves less bookkeeping. There is limited risk of fraud when accepting cash only. I'm taking a lot of notes and I'm learning how to run a business. My internship was great we are planning to name ourselves with a team name and have the name printed on sweaters.

My second week of business class was interesting. I learned more of my terms used in the business field. My teacher is teaching us how to create a chart to record the billing information on expenses used to make the business progress. The chart keeps the use of money stable. This class will really help me become an accountant. I'm going to take what I learn from this class and put it to good use in the future. I would maybe like to try and start to run a business one day. I made a couple friends of classmates that help me along the way when I'm not understanding what the teacher says. The internship that I'm doing is going well, it feels good helping out the wild life habitat and keeping the coast clean.

I'm already on my second chapter of the textbook, I'm learning all of the key words that are used in the business world. I'm also learning how to use charts to control how much credit I gain and debit that I owe. I learned how to accumulate money through a business by making wise decisions on investments of supplies and product bought. I'm learning about how the banks work and liabilities. I'm learning more about controlling money and not spending when you're not getting money in return. Running a business takes a lot time. My internship was very educational. I learned more about the wildlife and how we can help the wildlife live much easier. We've planted plants that absorb water that can bring more water to the dry marsh to help other plants grow.

Last Tuesday was my first day of Financial Business. I'm happy that I'm taking this class because I always wanted to be someone that works with money. This class looks a little challenging but I like math and I feel like I will learn. When I'm done with this class I plan on transferring to a Managerial Accounting class and become a accountant. I'm doing an internship at the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Society. I do a coastal clean up and help the environment stay healthy. I like it because I help keep the wild life stay alive and have a clean environment to live in. This is a new semester and my goal is to get this done.

Seventeenth Week Of Pathways
12/20/2013
My seventeenth week of Pathways was the best. I learned so much this semester. I think I learned enough to use this experience on my own car one day. Now I know how to change the oil, change the tires and check the engine for any malfunctions in the car. The teachers there at the Auto Shop were very helpful and made it very clear when teaching. I understood and learned very quickly. I learned about the safety rules in the Auto Shop, like the type of clothing to wear when doing certain things to the car For example, when you're about to paint the car you have to use these overalls that cover your whole body and they will provide you a helmet that cuts out the air from the paint room that's full of paint chemicals. This helmet supplies you oxygen from a machine outside of the painting room. When welding you have to use a welding mask that protects you from the sparks from jumping to your face. The welding mask also has a dark tinted glass piece that allows you to see what you're doing. The tint protects you from the very bright light a torch makes. I'm already checking the spark plugs on my mom's car. I had fun at that Auto Shop and learned a lot. I had my finals this Monday and Tuesday for my Basic Fuels class and for my Auto Collision Repair class. I think I did really well on the tests. Now I'm going to enjoy this winter break and enjoy the holidays with my family. I love gaining knowledge; It feels great, Thank You Pathways!
